Zora Neale Hurston

Zora Neale Hurston was a brilliant Novelist, Folklorist, Anthropologist, and Visionary. Zora recognized that speaking words from the heart was the greatest gift a human being can hope to leave to this world. She not only put her pen to paper dutifully recoding her 'commanded' words, she spoke them on tapes preserving them for posterity. Somewhere inside she knew that hidden within the heartfelt words she spoke, was the key to immortality. ‘Speak, so you can speak again' was recorded in 1939. The quality of sound was poor, but the dynamic spirit of this gifted visionary spoke aloud, and as a result, more than forty years after her death she is still speaking to the hearts and minds of a new generation of writers and public speakers. Beyond time and space, Ms. Hurston’s voice lives on, inspiring women of all times to speak, so they can speak again!

"Anyway, the force from somewhere in Space which commands you to write in the first place, gives you no choice. You take up the pen when you are told, and write what is commanded. There is no agony like bearing an untold story inside you."
